The Concept
A rooftop air conditioner places the entire heating, cooling and ventilation system in a single weatherproof enclosure on the roof. This arrangement frees up valuable indoor space, simplifies installation and concentrates service access in one location. IMMERSION ENERGY supplies rooftop units built for large commercial and industrial loads, with a wide range of cooling capacities and energy efficiency rated at 2.7–3.3 COP. The range is backed by a 3 year limited compressor warranty and 1 year limited coverage on other parts.
Built for Outdoor Installation
Panels and frame are made from galvanized steel protected with polyester powder painting, ensuring total resistance to atmospheric agents over long service life. Direct expansion coils sit above a condensate drain tray, handling condensate reliably in continuous operation.
Compression and Acoustics
The full range uses high efficiency hermetic scroll compressors, each fitted with a built in thermal overload cut out and crankcase heater, mounted on rubber vibration dampers. Ripple type acoustic insulation covers the compressor section, while thermal insulation protects the coil and fan sections — delivering low-noise operation even near occupied spaces.
Airflow and Controls
Forward curve centrifugal fans serve the air treatment section, with axial fans on the condensation side. Air discharge can be arranged from the front, side or underside, and high external pressure supports long duct runs. An easy to operate line controller offers Cooling, Heating and Auto modes, error indication and timed on/off, backed by an electric panel with breakers, contactors and a phase sequence relay protecting all main components.
Configured to the Project
Options extend the platform to real project requirements: an economizer with fresh and return air dampers, free cooling and a low ambient control device for operation from below 20°C down to -10°C, BMS integration, T3 tropical climate rating, condenser coil guards, roof curbs, metal or aluminum filters, air pressure switches, high static condenser fans, optional water heating coils, supply/return air configurations, upgraded fan motor drives, and G4 plate or bag filters.
Applications
The units serve factory, hospital, marine, office building and shopping mall installations — wherever reliable packaged heating and cooling is needed.
