Project Overview
Hospitals require rigorous indoor air quality and stable temperature to ensure safe, continuous medical operations. As a tropical coastal island, Barbados features high humidity and salt mist, where standard air handling units struggle with corrosion and insufficient filtration, failing to meet hospital-grade ventilation standards. To address these strict demands, IMMERSION ENERGY provided a customized water-cooled air handling unit for a local Barbados hospital.
Delivering 35.2kW cooling capacity and 5000m³/h supply air volume, this AHU is equipped with dual-stage G4+H8 composite filters and a Siemens intelligent control system. Adopting water cooling and matching local 3P/380V/50Hz power standards, the unit provides year-round stable cooling and purified air ventilation, safeguarding reliable operation of hospital facilities.

Project Features
Barbados’ humid coastal climate brings persistent salt fog and airborne particles, which easily corrode conventional HVAC equipment and degrade indoor air quality. For medical environments, unstable ventilation and equipment faults will seriously affect daily medical services.
Customized for tropical coastal hospital scenarios, IMMERSION ENERGY’s AHU uses G4+H8 dual-stage filtration to effectively block dust and salt particles, maintaining hospital-level clean air. The water-cooled structure ensures stable cooling performance under high humidity conditions.
Supported by the Siemens intelligent control system, the unit achieves precise, automatic temperature and air volume regulation, minimizing manual operation. Fully compatible with local power specifications, it runs stably without additional conversion devices. The system effectively reduces corrosion failures and lowers the hospital’s long-term operation and maintenance costs.
Project Significance
This successful hospital project in Barbados verifies IMMERSION ENERGY’s ability to deliver high-performance, corrosion-resistant AHUs for tropical coastal medical facilities. It proves the strong environmental adaptability of our water-cooled air handling units in Caribbean climates. With professional R&D and manufacturing strength, IMMERSION ENERGY continues to optimize filtration and stable performance, providing reliable clean-air HVAC solutions for global healthcare and critical public facilities.
