Project Overview
UAE coastal desalination plants operate in high temperature, high salinity harsh conditions, where standard AHUs suffer salt fog corrosion and poor filtration and cannot protect core workshop equipment. To meet stringent ventilation and cooling demands, IMMERSION ENERGY delivered a customized water cooled air handling unit for the project.
The AHU has 80kW cooling capacity and 3910m³/h supply air volume. Configured with G4+H8 dual stage filters and Siemens intelligent control system, it adopts water as cold source and matches local 3P/380V/50Hz power supply. It maintains year round clean ventilation and constant temperature to secure continuous running of the desalination plant’s key devices.

Project Features
Persistent heat, salt mist and dust in UAE coastal areas easily corrode electrical components and shorten equipment lifespan if filtered inadequately. Common air conditioning equipment also lacks stable precision control for long term industrial operation.
IMMERSION ENERGY tailored AHU perfectly fits the severe coastal working environment. G4 coarse filter paired with H8 fine filter effectively blocks dust and corrosive salt particles. The mature water cooled circulation system ensures stable high efficiency cooling under sustained high ambient temperature.
Supported by Siemens control system, the unit realizes automatic air volume and temperature regulation to cut manual workload. It connects directly to local power grid without conversion devices and runs reliably. The system improves indoor air quality, reduces corrosion failure risks and lowers the plant’s long term O&M costs.
