Project Features
Critical application generator units run under heavy continuous load, putting forward rigorous standards for cooling equipment on heat exchange efficiency, mechanical stability and anti fatigue performance. Generic radiator products cannot fully adapt to the continuous full load working conditions of high power Cummins engines, which may bring hidden risks of over temperature shutdown for key power equipment.
IMMERSION ENERGY custom built fin fan cooler is purpose engineered for the C1750 1200 kW generator unit. Premium copper aluminum heat exchange construction realizes high thermal conductivity, efficiently taking away massive heat generated during engine full load operation. Fine tuned fin and tube layout reduces thermal resistance and guarantees stable heat dissipation output under long running heavy load status.
The whole unit undergoes strict factory pressure and vibration testing to fit the vibration characteristics of large bore generator engines, lowering risks of joint loosening and leakage. The optimized structure cuts routine maintenance workload, effectively avoiding unplanned power supply interruptions caused by cooling system failure and reducing long term O&M costs for the customer’s important power infrastructure.
Project Significance
This project validates IMMERSION ENERGY’s capability to develop custom fin fan coolers for high power Cummins generator sets serving critical domestic industrial clients. It proves the reliability of our copper aluminum fin fan cooling solutions for heavy duty power generation scenarios. Drawing on accumulated thermal design and manufacturing experience, IMMERSION ENERGY will keep optimizing cooler performance and structural durability, supplying high reliability customized heat dissipation products for power, aerospace related industry and other key industrial sectors.
