Building a data center room used to mean coordinating racks, cooling, power, monitoring and security as separate projects. The modular data center takes a different route: a micro module that brings all of these systems together in one pre-engineered unit. IMMERSION ENERGY's modular data center integrates server racks, enclosed aisle containment, precision air conditioning, UPS and power distribution, environmental monitoring and security systems, ready to be configured to the site's needs. Capacity can then be expanded module by module as demand grows, instead of building a larger room on day one.
What a Micro Module Data Center Is
The system is built on a fully modular architecture. Power density, the number of IT devices, reliability level and target PUE can all be set to the project, so the same platform supports a small server room or an expansion bay without custom design work.
Optimized Efficiency
Cooling uses pump refrigerant type indirect free cooling, and aisle containment stops cold and hot air from mixing, so every kilowatt of cooling goes to the IT equipment. Indirect free cooling makes use of the outdoor climate for part of the year, reducing mechanical cooling running time. Inverter compressors, EC fans and green refrigerant raise component efficiency further. Real time PUE is measured and monitored on the system, and the UPS supports an ECO energy saving mode.
Standardized Management
The modules adopt a block-based standard design, enabling rapid rollout and unified management. Local and remote monitoring protocols give operators control and visualization, and real time alerts notify them before small issues become outages. Because the design is pre defined as an all in one package, purchasing, installation and service are shorter than a conventional build.
Integrated Security
The platform supports Tier 1 to Tier 4 design configurations to match the project's availability requirements. Each door has secure access control. The unit is compatible with fire systems: top panels and air conditioners act automatically when a fire alarm is triggered. Video surveillance provides live view and backup recording.
