20FT Container Data Center for Reliable IT Infrastructure in France

Sep 02, 2026

Project Overview

As digital infrastructure continues to expand across France, reliable and rapidly deployable data center solutions are becoming increasingly important. To support a new data center deployment, IMMERSION ENERGY has completed a customized 20FT Container Data Center designed to integrate power protection, cooling, monitoring, and IT infrastructure within a compact and controlled environment.

Project Information

· Project Location: France

· Application: Data Center

· Solution: 20FT Container Data Center

· Container Size: Single 20FT Container

· UPS System: Customized 90 kVA UPS

· Battery System: 40 × 12V VRLA batteries

· Backup Time: 15 minutes

· Cooling System: N+1 Wall-Mounted Cooling System

· Monitoring: 21-inch Large-Screen Centralized Monitoring System

Project Features

The 20FT container integrates multiple critical infrastructure systems into one compact solution, reducing the complexity associated with conventional data center construction. The customized 90 kVA UPS system, supported by 40 units of 12V VRLA batteries, provides power continuity and short-term backup capability during power interruptions or switching events.

For thermal management, the container is equipped with an N+1 wall-mounted cooling system. The redundant configuration maintains cooling availability even when one cooling unit is unavailable, helping improve operational reliability for IT equipment operating inside the enclosed environment.

A 21-inch large-screen monitoring system provides centralized visibility of key operating conditions. This enables operators to monitor the container's infrastructure more efficiently and identify potential operating issues at an early stage.

Project Significance

This project demonstrates how a prefabricated Container Data Center can provide a compact and integrated approach to modern data center deployment. By combining protected power supply, redundant cooling, battery backup, and centralized monitoring within a single 20FT container, the solution helps simplify deployment while maintaining the essential infrastructure required for reliable IT operations.

For projects requiring flexible capacity, shorter deployment cycles, or infrastructure in space-constrained locations, containerized data centers offer an adaptable alternative to traditional site-built facilities. Through customized engineering and integrated infrastructure design, IMMERSION ENERGY continues to support data center projects with solutions tailored to specific operational requirements.
