As data center operators continue to deploy more advanced computing infrastructure, the integration of efficient thermal management systems has become an important consideration in modern facility design. In particular, data centers supporting high-performance computing and other demanding IT applications require cooling infrastructure that can accommodate higher heat loads while maintaining stable and controlled operating conditions. This has encouraged the adoption of liquid cooling technologies as part of a more flexible approach to data center thermal management.
For a data center project in South Korea, IMMERSION ENERGY has supplied a batch of liquid-to-liquid cabinet-type Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) to support the project's liquid cooling infrastructure. Designed as an interface between the facility cooling system and IT-side cooling loop, the CDUs provide a dedicated solution for coolant circulation and heat transfer within the liquid cooling system.
· Country: South Korea
· Application: Data Center
· Product: Liquid-to-Liquid Cabinet-Type CDU
· Quantity: Batch Supply

The products are designed to transfer heat between two separate cooling circuits through a heat exchange process. The IT-side loop can collect heat generated by liquid-cooled computing equipment, while the facility-side loop provides the corresponding heat rejection path. By separating the two circuits, the CDUs help establish a more organized cooling architecture and allows each side of the system to be managed according to its specific operating requirements.
The cabinet-type configuration provides a practical format for integrating the CDU into the data center environment. Instead of treating liquid cooling as an isolated component, the CDU serves as part of the connection between IT equipment and the broader facility cooling infrastructure. This makes it easier to organize the cooling circuit and provides a dedicated location for key liquid cooling functions within the data center.
For data center applications, liquid-to-liquid CDUs can also provide flexibility for different liquid cooling configurations, particularly where the IT-side cooling loop needs to remain separated from the facility-side water system. This approach can help support stable coolant management and heat transfer while providing a structured interface between computing equipment and facility infrastructure.
The shipment represents another application of cabinet-type CDU technology in data center liquid cooling infrastructure. As computing requirements continue to evolve, cooling systems need to work together with power, IT, and facility infrastructure as an integrated system. Through its liquid cooling solutions, IMMERSION ENERGY provides data center customers with equipment designed to support the connection between IT-side thermal management and facility-side cooling systems, contributing to the development of more structured and adaptable cooling infrastructure.
