The 285.7 kW Dry Coolers are designed to reject heat from the water cooling loop directly to the outdoor environment. By using ambient air as the heat-rejection medium, the system can take advantage of favorable outdoor conditions during cooler periods, helping reduce the operating load of mechanical refrigeration equipment.
For data centers in the Czech Republic, this approach is particularly relevant due to the significant seasonal variation in outdoor temperatures. During cooler periods, the Dry Coolers can utilize lower ambient temperatures for heat rejection, supporting more efficient operation of the overall cooling system.
The heat exchangers combine copper tubes with aluminum fins to provide efficient heat transfer, while the epoxy resin anti-corrosion coating on the aluminum fins enhances protection against outdoor environmental exposure. The 400 V / 3 Ph / 50 Hz electrical configuration is also consistent with the standard European power supply environment.
This project highlights the growing importance of climate-adapted cooling strategies for data center infrastructure in Central Europe. With seasonal changes in outdoor conditions, data centers can benefit from cooling solutions that make effective use of ambient air for heat rejection while maintaining reliable thermal management.
By combining efficient heat exchange, corrosion protection, and compatibility with water-based cooling systems, IMMERSION ENERGY Dry Coolers provide a practical solution for data centers seeking reliable heat rejection, improved cooling efficiency, and greater adaptability to seasonal outdoor conditions.
